ServiceTitan alternatives for HVAC, plumbing and field service companies (2026)
Last updated:
Quick answer
If per-technician pricing is why you are leaving ServiceTitan, Service Fusion publishes unlimited-user plans from $208 a month billed annually. Jobber and Housecall Pro publish the lowest entry prices, FieldEdge is the HVAC, plumbing and electrical specialist, and Workiz lists online booking and QuickBooks sync on every plan. Ardn CRM, our own platform, is priced by modules and locations, never per seat.
ServiceTitan is a deep platform for residential and commercial trades, priced per technician on request. This page puts it next to six options HVAC, plumbing and home service companies shortlist instead: Jobber, Housecall Pro, Service Fusion, FieldEdge, Workiz and our own Ardn CRM. Every fact is quoted from the vendor's own site, checked October 22, 2026. No review-site scores, no ratings.
HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies that want dispatch, a technician app with GPS and SLA-tracked service on one record.
Modules and locations, never per seat
The baseline, in its own words
What ServiceTitan is
ServiceTitan calls itself “AI software for commercial and residential trades.” It covers the office, the call center and the field in one platform, with optional Pro products on top.
Who it is for
Residential trades such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, garage door, septic, pest control and pool service, and commercial trades such as refrigeration, kitchen equipment, water treatment, and fire and life safety, per ServiceTitan's homepage.
What it covers
Dispatch, scheduling, call booking, invoicing and a pricebook on every plan; a Field Mobile App; payments; accounting with QuickBooks Online and Desktop integrations; service agreements and memberships; marketing and reporting. Scheduling Pro, Dispatch Pro and Fleet Pro are upgrades.
How it is priced
“Our per-technician pricing is designed to fit your business and goals, at any size.” Starter, Essentials and The Works each show “Request Pricing” rather than a price, so there is no published number to compare.
Per servicetitan.com, servicetitan.com/pricing and ServiceTitan's Field Mobile App, Scheduling Pro, Dispatch Pro, Fleet Pro, Payments and accounting integrations pages, checked October 22, 2026. Plan contents are read from the plan cards: Starter covers dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing and pricebook; Essentials adds mobile estimates and payroll management; The Works adds configurable payroll, advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships.
Why companies look elsewhere
Six reasons a ServiceTitan alternative gets searched.
None of these make ServiceTitan a bad product. It is built for trade businesses that want one deep platform, and these are the situations in which its pricing model or scope stops matching a company's size and work.
01
The price is not on the page
All three ServiceTitan plans show "Request Pricing." Budgeting means a sales conversation, and comparing it with tools that publish prices takes a written quote.
02
Every technician moves the bill
ServiceTitan describes its pricing as per-technician. A shop that adds trucks every season adds cost every season, which is the opposite of what an owner wants while growing.
03
Pro products sit on top
Online booking (Scheduling Pro), routing optimization (Dispatch Pro) and fleet GPS timekeeping (Fleet Pro) are presented as "Pro Products" to upgrade to, so the plan price is not always the whole price.
04
Features are gated by plan
Mobile estimates and payroll start at Essentials; advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships are on The Works. Check which plan your must-haves need.
05
More platform than a small shop uses
A three-to-ten-truck HVAC or plumbing company may only need booking, dispatch, a technician app, invoices, payments and QuickBooks, which several tools here list on entry plans.
06
Fit, not price
Some teams want unlimited users (Service Fusion), the lowest published entry price (Jobber, Housecall Pro), or sales and service with SLA clocks on one record (Ardn CRM), and shortlist on fit.

Each cell is quoted from that vendor's own pages. “Not stated on the pages we reviewed” means we did not find it there, not that the product lacks it. Scroll the table sideways on a phone.
Pricing model, published price, per-technician or per-user pricing, technician mobile app, GPS, online booking, payments, QuickBooks sync, scheduling and route optimization, and service desk with SLA, per each vendor's own site, checked October 22, 2026.

The headcount math
What 10 technicians and 2 office users cost on published prices.
A common HVAC or plumbing shape: ten technicians in trucks and two people in the office booking and dispatching. We used only prices each vendor publishes; where a vendor does not publish, we say so rather than estimate.
12 users (10 technicians, 2 office) on each vendor's published prices, checked October 22, 2026. Excludes taxes, card processing, add-ons and implementation.

Why half the rows say “not published”
ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, Workiz and Ardn CRM all quote rather than publish. That is common in this market. The fair comparison is a written quote from each at your real headcount and locations.
Where growth bites
Going from 10 technicians to 20 adds ten more users on Jobber ($290 a month) and on Housecall Pro Max ($350 a month), and more technicians on a per-technician quote. On Service Fusion the plan price does not change; on Ardn CRM the price follows modules and locations, not people.
Check what each plan includes
The cheapest row is not always like-for-like. Service Fusion lists GPS Fleet Tracking as an add-on; Jobber Connect is the tier where QuickBooks sync starts; Housecall Pro puts route optimization on Max. Price the plan that has your must-haves.

Alternative
ServiceTitan
The baseline: software for commercial and residential trades, priced per technician on request, with optional Pro products.
ServiceTitan describes itself as "AI software for commercial and residential trades." Its homepage lists HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, garage door, chimney sweep, septic, pest control, irrigation, painting, landscaping, pool service and lawn care, along with commercial trades such as refrigeration, kitchen equipment, water treatment, fire and life safety, and dock and door. The product menu covers CRM, project management, service agreements, a customer portal, dispatch, purchasing and inventory, accounting, reporting, marketing, call booking, payments and a Field Mobile App.
The pricing page says "Our per-technician pricing is designed to fit your business and goals, at any size" and shows three plans, each with a "Request Pricing" button rather than a price. Starter covers dispatching, scheduling, call booking, invoicing and a pricebook. Essentials adds mobile estimates and payroll management. The Works adds configurable payroll, advanced reporting, commission tracking and customizable memberships. The same page describes a drag-and-drop dispatch board and "GPS tracking for enroute technicians."
Several capabilities are sold as "Pro Products" that the site invites you to "Upgrade to": Scheduling Pro ("Book more jobs with online scheduling built for the trades," with availability drawn from the dispatch board), Dispatch Pro (which "uses Titan Intelligence and advanced algorithms to optimize technician routing by location and skill set"), Fleet Pro (vehicle tracking and GPS timekeeping), plus Marketing Pro, Contact Center Pro, Pricebook Pro and Field Pro. Accounting integrations include QuickBooks Online, which "automatically syncs transactions over in near-real time," and QuickBooks Desktop.
ServiceTitan is a deep platform, and for a large residential or commercial trade business that uses pricebooks, memberships, payroll and Pro products, it may well be the right fit. The reasons buyers look elsewhere are usually about price visibility, per-technician scaling and how much of the platform a smaller shop will use.
Pricing: Not published; per-technician pricing on request. Pro products are listed as upgrades.
Field service software for small home service businesses, with published plans and a published price for each extra user.
Jobber sells four plans. Core covers booking and scheduling jobs online, quotes, invoices with online payments, a website, built-in reporting and an app marketplace of more than 100 tools. Connect adds automated client reminders, automatic payment collection, checklists, automated quote and invoice follow-ups, QuickBooks Online sync and time and expense tracking. Grow adds visual quotes, automatic time tracking, job costing, two-way SMS and custom workflow automations. Plus adds unlimited photo and video storage, crew scheduling, expense capture, custom reports, a Pipeline for leads, a Marketing Suite, an AI-powered receptionist and dedicated onboarding with premium support.
On the no-commitment monthly option the page showed Core at $49, Connect at $139, Grow at $199 and Plus at $499 a month. The annual prepaid option showed introductory prices for the first 12 months (Core from $21 a month) that then step up, so read the small print before comparing. Jobber defines a user as "anyone who accesses your account at the office or in the field to view or manage the team's schedule" and says "Add users for $29/mo each." Each plan card states how many users it includes; that number decides how many $29 add-ons you need, so check it on the live page.
The plan comparison also lists iOS and Android mobile apps, GPS tracking ("Track your team's activity in Jobber, or in real time"), online booking ("letting customers book an appointment with you online"), credit card processing and routing ("Optimize daily or weekly routes for your whole team in seconds"). Jobber offers a 14-day free trial with full access.
Pricing: Published: $49 to $499/month with no commitment (lower introductory prices on annual prepaid); additional users $29/month each.
Home service software with published plans, users included by plan and no long-term contract.
Housecall Pro publishes three plans. Basic is $59 a month billed annually or $79 monthly with 1 user included, and covers online booking ("Let customers book and pay online 24/7 directly from Google or your website"), scheduling and dispatch, estimates and invoicing, payments and consumer financing, a price book, job costing and review management.
Essentials is $149 a month billed annually or $189 monthly with 5 users included. It adds routes ("Group and sequence jobs to cut drive time for the day"), flat-rate pricing, checklist automations, photo reports, employee GPS tracking ("Locates techs on the map using their mobile phone's GPS, no hardware required"), commissions and QuickBooks Online sync. Max is $299 a month billed annually or $329 monthly with 8 users included and "$35/mo per additional user," adding a sales proposal tool, recurring service plans, route optimization ("Reorder jobs in one click based on real drive time and live traffic"), open API access, a dedicated onboarding specialist and escalated phone support.
Every plan includes live phone and chat support, a free mobile app for iOS and Android, card processing "as low as 2.59%" and offline viewing. The FAQ says Housecall Pro "does not require long-term contracts," and the 14-day free trial runs on the Max plan with no credit card.
Pricing: Published: $59 to $299/month billed annually ($79 to $329 monthly); Max includes 8 users, then $35/month per additional user.
Field service management with published plans and unlimited users on every tier.
Service Fusion calls itself "All-in-One Field Service Management Software" and lists scheduling and dispatch, estimate creation, customer management, GPS tracking, invoicing and payments, a technician mobile app and service agreements. Its homepage says scheduling and dispatching can "Automatically plan routes. Optimize for speed, fuel costs, vehicle capacity, driver schedules, traffic conditions, weather, customer preferences, and more," and "Adjust routes in real time while drivers are in the field."
Pricing is published and every tier says "Unlimited Users." Billed annually (a 15% saving), Starter is $208 a month, Plus $325 and Pro $533; billed monthly they are $245, $382 and $627. Starter includes customer management, estimates and jobs, scheduling and dispatching, integrated payments, QuickBooks integration, invoicing, payment processing, project management, reporting and text alerts. Plus adds job photos, inventory, job costing and integrated voice and text. Pro adds an open API, custom documents, e-sign, a customer web portal and progress billing. GPS Fleet Tracking appears in the add-ons list on every plan.
The FAQ is direct about the pricing model: "Whether you have one technician and one dispatcher or 20 technicians and a full office, your Service Fusion pricing will be the same." Plans are month-to-month, the technician app lets field workers "receive and manage jobs on smartphones," and it integrates with both QuickBooks Online and Desktop.
Pricing: Published: $208 to $533/month billed annually ($245 to $627 monthly), unlimited users on every plan; GPS Fleet Tracking is an add-on.
Field service software for HVAC, plumbing and electrical, with pricing on request and mobile app licences counted by plan.
FieldEdge positions itself for "SMB and Mid-Market Service Leaders in HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical." Its homepage describes centralized control of multiple service teams and locations, a QuickBooks integration that will "Sync financials automatically," sales tools for technicians and service agreements, and Smart Dispatching: "Manage multiple trucks and technicians efficiently with GPS tracking and intelligent task assignment. Optimize routes and schedules to maximize productivity and minimize downtime."
There are three plans. Select covers dispatching, booking and scheduling, basic agreements and quotes, customer management and a flat-rate pricebook. Premier adds advanced dispatching, multi-option quotes, advanced service agreements, saved reports and additional mobile app licences. Elite adds unlimited saved reports, outbound call recording, Proposal Pro, MarketingEdge with two-way texting, warehouse inventory and a consumer management portal. The feature table shows 2, 4 and 6 mobile app licences included, QuickBooks Online and Desktop, and integrated payments.
FieldEdge does not publish prices. Its FAQ says pricing "can vary based on several factors, such as how many technicians or employees are on your team, and which add-ons you might need," and that a downgrade can be made "at the end of your current contract period."
Pricing: Not published; varies with technicians, employees and add-ons.
Field service software for home service teams, with online booking and QuickBooks sync on every plan and pricing on request.
Workiz describes itself as "AI software for home service pros" serving more than 50 industries, among them HVAC, plumbing, electrical, locksmith, appliance repair and garage doors. Its homepage says you can "Dispatch the right tech to every job with a simple drag-and-drop calendar. Your team stays organized and routing gets more efficient," and lists scheduling, automations, service plans, online booking, payments, a pricebook and QuickBooks.
The pricing page shows three plans, Standard, Pro and Ultimate, each with "Request pricing" rather than a price. Standard covers scheduling, invoices, jobs and estimates, online payments, service areas, reports, client management and QuickBooks integration. Pro adds performance pay, more automations, Genius leads, Genius Scheduling and custom reports. Ultimate adds service plans, sales proposals, inventory, flat rate, checklists, multi-day jobs, franchise management, an open API, equipment tracking and purchase orders. The comparison table marks the mobile application, online booking with optional checkout, QuickBooks online sync, fleet tracking and team location tracking as included on all three plans.
Phone, answering and marketing tools (Genius Phone, Genius Answering, Genius Marketing) are sold separately. Workiz offers a 7-day free trial with no credit card, and says an annual plan can "save $400+" compared with monthly billing.
Pricing: Not published; request pricing. Genius Phone, Answering and Marketing are sold separately.
Sales, quotes, jobs, dispatch, a technician app and a service desk on SLA clocks on one record, priced by modules and locations, never per seat.
Ardn CRM is a CRM built around jobs, work orders, sites, service requests and bookings. It serves HVAC, plumbing and electrical companies, landscaping and home services as well as roofing, home improvement and general contractors. Quotes are built from your own product and service list and convert to a job in one click with line items, site and contact already filled in. Accounts hold every site, contact, quote, job and service request with lifetime value, and reports cover the conversion funnel, revenue by source and service performance, rolled up or by location.
In the field, technicians and crew leads work from a mobile app with GPS. The office schedules and dispatches from a board of crews, work orders and bookings by day and location, with route optimization, and assigning from the board updates the work order on the technician's app. Customers can book online and pay, and payments sync to QuickBooks. Every service request gets an SLA clock by priority, escalates automatically if it slips and asks the customer for a rating when it closes, which is the piece most field service tools on this page do not describe.
It is priced by the modules you turn on and the locations you run, never per seat, so adding technicians, dispatchers or office staff does not change the bill. There is a one-time setup fee and an optional managed service in which Ardn hosts, supports and keeps improving it. Ardn migrates your accounts, contacts, open deals, job history and notes from the previous system as part of setup and checks the result with you before go-live. The team is US-based with a 4-hour response SLA. Ardn does not publish prices, so you will need a quote, and Ardn CRM does not include roof measurement reports.

Ardn CRM · Service request

Pricing: Not published; quote by modules and locations, never per seat, plus a one-time setup fee.
Switching field service software is a real project, and for some companies staying is the better call. Be honest about which list you are on.
Stay on ServiceTitan if
Your team lives in the pricebook, memberships, payroll and commission tracking, and those are configured the way you want.
You use the Pro products, such as Scheduling Pro, Dispatch Pro or Fleet Pro, and they earn back what they cost.
You run a call center and rely on call booking and call recording tied to every job.
Your accounting, reporting and marketing attribution already run through it, and moving them would cost more than it saves.
You are mid-contract. Moving before renewal means paying for two systems.
Move off if
Per-technician pricing is most of your software spend, and every new truck is another line on the invoice.
Your day is booking, dispatch, a technician app, invoices, payments and QuickBooks, which Jobber, Housecall Pro, Service Fusion, Workiz and Ardn CRM list.
You pay for Pro products to get online booking or route optimization that other tools list on their plans.
Service calls and warranty work need an owner and a deadline: Ardn CRM gives every request an SLA clock and escalates it automatically.
You want the whole office and every technician in one system without a per-seat bill.
Before you switch
A migration checklist for leaving ServiceTitan.
Switching field service software fails on data and timing, not features. Whichever option you pick, work through this list with the vendor before you sign.
1
Time it to your renewal
Find your contract end date and plan go-live a few weeks before it, so you are not paying for two systems.
2
List what has to come across
Customers and locations, equipment, open and historic jobs, memberships and agreements, pricebook items, invoices, notes, photos and attachments.
3
Ask who moves it, and at what cost
Ardn migrates accounts, contacts, open deals, job history and notes as part of setup. Ask every vendor exactly which records they move and whether it is extra.
4
Run a real job on a technician's phone
In the trial or demo, have a technician open the work order, navigate with GPS, update status, take payment and close the job.
5
Map integrations and payments
QuickBooks Online or Desktop, your card processor, your phone system and your website booking. Confirm which plan tier unlocks each one.
6
Run both for a short overlap
Dispatch a week in the new system while the old one is still readable, then switch off with the history checked.
How to choose
Start from the reason you are leaving.
The shortlist writes itself once you name the problem. Headcount pricing points one way, a small team wanting a low entry price another, and service accountability a third.
A
Headcount must stop moving the bill
Shortlist Service Fusion (unlimited users, published) and Ardn CRM (modules and locations, never per seat). See the per-technician cost breakdown.
B
You are a small team and want a published price
Trial Jobber (14 days) and Housecall Pro (14 days on Max, no credit card) and price the plan that has your must-haves.
C
You want an HVAC, plumbing and electrical specialist
Ask FieldEdge and ServiceTitan for written quotes at today's technician count and at double it.
D
Online booking and QuickBooks on every plan
Workiz lists both on Standard, Pro and Ultimate; Housecall Pro has online booking from Basic and QuickBooks from Essentials.
E
Sales, field work and service on one record
Look at Ardn CRM: quotes that become jobs in one click, a technician app with GPS, route-optimized dispatch, payments synced to QuickBooks and a service desk with SLA clocks and escalation.
FAQ
ServiceTitan alternative questions.
Pricing, per-technician models, field features, QuickBooks and migration.
What is the best ServiceTitan alternative for HVAC and plumbing companies?
It depends on why you are leaving. If per-technician pricing is the problem, Service Fusion publishes plans with unlimited users ($208 to $533 a month billed annually) and Ardn CRM is priced by modules and locations, never per seat. If you are a small shop that wants a low published entry price, Jobber and Housecall Pro publish plans and offer free trials. If you want an HVAC, plumbing and electrical specialist with a similar sales-and-service depth, FieldEdge is quote-based like ServiceTitan. If you want online booking and QuickBooks sync on every plan, Workiz lists both. All facts are from each vendor's own site, checked October 22, 2026.
How much does ServiceTitan cost?
ServiceTitan does not publish prices. Its pricing page says "Our per-technician pricing is designed to fit your business and goals, at any size" and shows Starter, Essentials and The Works with a "Request Pricing" button on each (servicetitan.com, checked October 22, 2026). Scheduling Pro, Dispatch Pro, Fleet Pro and other Pro products are presented as upgrades, so ask for a quote that names every product you plan to use, at today's technician count and at the count you expect next year.
Which field service software does not charge per technician or per user?
On the pages we reviewed, Service Fusion lists "Unlimited Users" on every plan and says pricing is the same "whether you have one technician and one dispatcher or 20 technicians and a full office." Ardn CRM is priced by modules and locations, never per seat. ServiceTitan prices per technician, Jobber adds $29 a month per user beyond a plan's included users, Housecall Pro includes 1, 5 or 8 users by plan with $35 a month per additional user on Max, and FieldEdge says pricing varies with technicians and employees.
Does Ardn CRM have a technician mobile app, GPS, online booking and payments?
Yes. Technicians and crew leads work from a mobile app with GPS, customers can book online and pay, payments sync to QuickBooks, and the dispatch board has scheduling and route optimization. Ardn CRM adds a service desk in which every request gets an SLA clock by priority, escalates automatically and asks the customer for a rating on close. It does not include roof measurement reports, and Ardn does not publish prices.
Which ServiceTitan alternatives sync with QuickBooks?
All of them, at some plan level. Service Fusion and FieldEdge integrate with QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Workiz lists QuickBooks online sync on every plan, Housecall Pro includes QuickBooks Online sync on Essentials and Max, Jobber includes it from Connect up, and Ardn CRM syncs payments to QuickBooks. ServiceTitan itself integrates with QuickBooks Online and Desktop. Check whether your accounting runs on Online or Desktop before you shortlist.
Can Ardn move our data out of ServiceTitan?
Ardn migrates your accounts, contacts, open deals, job history and notes from the previous system as part of setup, and checks the result with you before go-live. Before you start, export customers, locations, equipment, open jobs, memberships or agreements, pricebook items and invoice history from ServiceTitan, and time the switch to your contract renewal. Ask us during the walkthrough how your specific export maps.
