Rx-Dr: A White-Label Telehealth Platform, Built and Run by Ardn

Rx-Dr white-label telehealth platform

Introduction

Rx-Dr is a white-label telehealth platform. It lets a wellness brand, medical practice or clinic group launch online care under its own name: a patient chooses a treatment, completes an online intake, a licensed clinician reviews the case, and the prescription goes electronically to a partner pharmacy that ships it. Ardn designed and built the platform, and runs it as a managed service.

Challenge

Launching a compliant telehealth brand usually means stitching together five regulated systems, each hard to build on its own:

  • Intake, clinician review, pharmacy e-prescribing, payments and patient messaging all have to work together and stay HIPAA-compliant.
  • Many brands, one platform. Brands, clinics and referral partners each need their own branded experience, with their data kept strictly apart.
  • Prescribing rules change by state and by drug, and every decision needs an audit trail.
  • Layered referral networks (agencies, sales agents, clinics and creators) need commissions, refunds and payouts that are right every time.
  • Subscriptions and refills need renewals, shipments and pharmacy resubmissions to run on their own.

Solution

1. One multi-tenant platform, many brands

Every brand gets its own domain, logo, colors and storefront, plus a separate test environment next to its live one. Tenant isolation is enforced in the data layer: a query that isn't scoped to a tenant fails instead of leaking data, and automated checks block code that would break the rule.

2. A portal for every role

Admins, operators, physicians, clinics, pharmacies, patients and referral partners each get their own portal, around 500 screens in total, all running on the same records.

3. Intake, review and prescribing compliance

  • Intake questionnaires built per treatment category, with conditional logic, clinician review flags and ID capture.
  • State-by-state and drug-by-drug prescribing rules that fail closed: if an approved rule doesn't exist for a case, the order is denied rather than allowed by default.
  • An external prescriber API so an outside clinician network can pick up cases and approve or decline them.

4. Pharmacy, payments and operations on autopilot

  • Electronic prescription transmission to partner pharmacies, with status synced back and cancellations and resubmissions handled.
  • Split payments, memberships and subscriptions, with a commission ledger that handles clawbacks and payouts across referral tiers.
  • 54 scheduled background jobs run renewals, shipments, follow-up care and data-integrity checks.
  • Patient messaging, video visits and appointment booking built in.

5. HIPAA built in, not bolted on

  • Workforce Business Associate Agreement attestations, logged access to patient records ("minimum necessary"), and break-glass access that requires a written reason.
  • Field-level AES-256 encryption for sensitive identifiers, and automated checks that keep patient data out of logs.
  • Two-person approval for sensitive admin actions, a full audit log, fraud flags and privacy tooling.
  • AI helps with document reading and clinician triage. It never approves a prescription.

Outcomes

  • A brand can launch without building a medical stack. Intake, clinicians, pharmacy routing, payments and the patient portal come ready, under the brand's name.
  • One platform, many brands. Each brand is isolated and branded, with its own test environment.
  • Compliance by design. Prescribing rules fail closed, every read of a patient record is logged, and sensitive actions need a second approver.
  • Operations that run themselves. Renewals, refills, commissions and payouts run on schedule, with integrity checks that flag anything stuck.
  • Built to scale: about 300 data models, around 500 screens and 54 automated jobs, all run by Ardn as a managed service.
